South County Storms Back to Defeat Robinson Secondary School

Article |

2/4/26 — Trailing by six at halftime, South County High School erupted in the second half, going on a 28–0 run to defeat Robinson Secondary School, 59–41.

Robinson set the tone early, executing patiently on offense rather than trying to outrun the taller Stallions. Madison Coutinho scored eight points in the first half and came away with several steals, while Kyndal Fitzgerald added two strong drives to the basket to help Robinson build an early lead. But it was Robinson's London Augustin who was dominant in the first half, leading Robinson scorers with 14 first-half points, highlighted by a deep three-pointer at the buzzer to end the first quarter. Robinson entered halftime ahead by six and appeared poised for a major upset.

That momentum quickly vanished after halftime. Fitzgerald opened the third quarter with a three-pointer, but from there South County took complete control. The Stallions found their rhythm offensively, tightened up defensively, and played with renewed aggression. Led by Adriana Mayorga’s 11 points in the third quarter, South County unleashed a 28–0 run that flipped the game on its head. Robinson managed just three points in the entire third quarter.

South County continued its dominance in the fourth quarter, cruising to a convincing 59–41 victory. Anna Marsh led all scorers with 20 points, while Mayorga finished with 16 and Laila Tull added 13 for the Stallions. Robinson was paced by Augustin’s 16 points and Coutinho’s 13.
